Chilo Gorge Safari Lodge is located in the remarkable Gonarezhou National Park, an area defined by the Mwenezi, Runde, and Save rivers. This prime location provides guests with the opportunity to see an abundance of wildlife, including lions, hyenas, wild dogs, and giraffes.
The lodge offers 10 en suite thatched king and twin rooms, each beautifully decorated with locally crafted reed-weaved pieces. Every room has a private balcony with outstanding views of the Save River, where hippos are often seen from the comfort of the suite.
The main area at Chilo Gorge Safari Lodge includes a bar, dining area, and comfortable lounge with couches and coffee tables overlooking the river. Outside, the swimming pool and fire pit create perfect gathering spots for evenings before or after dinner.

ACTIVITIES
Guests can enjoy game walks and game drives, nature walks, birdwatching, and visits to the spectacular Chilojo Gorge. Wildlife sightings include elephants, zebras, hippos, and antelopes. Ivory Trail Adventure safaris can be tailor-made and include walking safaris, birding, cultural visits, and trips to Chivilila Falls, often combined with bush picnic lunches.
For a seasonal experience, Chilo Gorge Tented Camp offers exclusive stays from May to October. Located at Mahove on the Runde River, it features only four tented rooms, each with a shower and flushing toilet. Meals are enjoyed under the shade of trees or in a tented boma, depending on the weather.
Ivory Trail Adventure provides a rustic mobile camping experience with stretcher beds, mattresses, bedding, bucket showers, and bush toilets. A dedicated chef and camp hand ensure comfort, with meals served under a gazebo or the stars.
Nhabo Lodge offers self-catering accommodation with four lodges, each sleeping two guests, plus a larger family lodge that sleeps up to six. The family lodge includes two bathrooms and its own kitchen and dining area. Guests at Nhabo Lodge can also arrange to dine at Chilo Gorge Safari Lodge upon request.
