Ngoma Safari Lodge
Discover Ngoma Safari Lodge in Botswana
Set within the Chobe Forest Reserve, Ngoma Safari Lodge overlooks the Chobe River and its floodplains. The lodge offers an intimate safari experience in one of Botswana’s most wildlife-rich regions.
The setting is particularly special. From the lodge, wide views stretch across the floodplain towards Namibia. The Chobe River also provides a natural draw for wildlife, especially during the dry season.
Ngoma combines comfortable accommodation with excellent opportunities to explore the surrounding wilderness. Game drives, boating and guided walks allow guests to experience the Chobe region from different perspectives.

Each suite has a private deck where guests can relax and take in the views. The rooms also feature comfortable sleeping areas, en-suite bathrooms and the facilities expected from a quality safari lodge.

Wildlife Experience
Chobe is famous for its elephants, and Ngoma offers excellent opportunities to see them.
Large herds gather around the Chobe River, particularly during the dry season. Alongside elephants, the area supports buffalo, lion, leopard, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest and a variety of antelope.
The floodplain also attracts an impressive range of birdlife. Waterbirds are particularly rewarding to watch, while the surrounding woodland provides habitat for many other species.
The changing seasons bring different wildlife experiences. During the dry months, animals are drawn towards the river. When the rains arrive, the landscape becomes greener and water spreads across the floodplain.
This variety makes Ngoma an excellent destination for wildlife enthusiasts and photographers.

Safari Activities at Ngoma
Game Drives
Game drives explore the Chobe Forest Reserve and surrounding areas in open safari vehicles. Morning and afternoon drives provide opportunities to search for elephants, predators and other wildlife.
As the light changes, so does the character of the landscape. Early morning drives offer cool temperatures and active wildlife. Afternoon drives often continue into the evening.
Boat Safaris
When conditions allow, boating on the Chobe River provides a completely different view of the wildlife.
From the water, guests can watch elephants drinking and crossing the river. Hippos, crocodiles and waterbirds can also be seen along the banks.
For photographers, the river creates wonderful opportunities for wildlife and landscape photography.
Guided Walks
Walking allows guests to experience the smaller details of the Chobe environment.
An experienced guide can point out tracks, plants, insects and birdlife that might otherwise go unnoticed. It is a slower way to experience the bush and adds another dimension to a stay at Ngoma.
Birdwatching
The Chobe River and surrounding floodplains support an exceptional variety of birdlife.
Boat excursions are particularly rewarding for waterbirds, while game drives and walks provide opportunities to discover species in the woodland and grasslands.
Guided Walking Safaris
Walking with an experienced guide brings you closer to the smaller details of the Okavango landscape. Depending on conditions, walks reveal animal tracks, plants, insects and other aspects of the bush that can easily be missed from a safari vehicle
Birdwatching
The combination of floodplains, waterways, grasslands and woodland makes Gomoti Plains a rewarding destination for birdwatchers. Waterbirds and woodland species can be encountered throughout the area.
