EXPLORE

Musesenji River CAMP

OPENING 1 APRIL 2027

Musesenji River Camp is set in one of the most remote areas of Zambia’s Lower Zambezi National Park. The camp overlooks the meeting point of the Zambezi and Musesenji Rivers.

As a result, guests enjoy a peaceful setting surrounded by untouched wilderness. The camp offers a sense of seclusion while still providing refined comfort and personal service.

Furthermore, the rivers provide beautiful views and excellent opportunities to experience the wildlife of the Lower Zambezi. Each day offers a chance to slow down and reconnect with the natural world.

Luxury Accommodation

Musesenji River Camp accommodates a maximum of 14 guests in six tented suites. This includes five luxury tents and one family suite.

Each tent has a private plunge pool, air-conditioned bedroom, and en-suite bathroom. In addition, spacious decks overlook the surrounding wilderness.

The interiors combine natural materials with elegant safari styling. Meanwhile, indoor and outdoor relaxation areas provide comfortable spaces to enjoy the peaceful setting.

Furthermore, the camp has been designed with sustainability in mind. It operates entirely on solar power and uses advanced water filtration systems. The camp was also built without permanent concrete foundations to reduce its environmental impact.

Wildlife in the Lower Zambezi

The Lower Zambezi is known for its rich wildlife and diverse habitats. During a stay at Musesenji River Camp, guests may encounter large herds of elephants, lions, leopards, buffalo, hippos, Nile crocodiles, and African wild dogs.

In addition, the region is an excellent destination for birdwatching. More than 430 bird species have been recorded in the area.

For example, guests may see African fish eagles, kingfishers, and bee-eaters while exploring the rivers and surrounding wilderness.

As a result, Musesenji River Camp offers rewarding wildlife experiences for both safari travellers and bird enthusiasts.

Why Choose Musesenji River Camp?

Musesenji River Camp offers an intimate way to experience the Lower Zambezi.

Firstly, the remote location provides a strong sense of privacy. Secondly, the small number of guests creates a relaxed and personal atmosphere.

Furthermore, luxury accommodation, exceptional wildlife, and beautiful river views come together to create an immersive safari experience.

Ultimately, Musesenji River Camp is an excellent choice for travellers looking for privacy, comfort, and an authentic connection with the Lower Zambezi wilderness.

Safari Activities at Musesenji River Camp

I would not leave these as three bare bullets. That is a missed opportunity for both readability and SEO.

Game Drives

Morning and afternoon game drives explore the Lower Zambezi wilderness. Along the way, guests can search for elephants, lions, leopards, buffalo, and other wildlife.

Furthermore, experienced guides help guests understand animal behaviour and the wider ecosystem.

Boating Safaris

Boating safaris explore the Zambezi River and its surrounding channels. From the water, guests can enjoy a different view of the wildlife and landscape.

Meanwhile, the river provides excellent opportunities to see hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and birdlife.

Guided Walking Safaris

Guided walking safaris offer a slower way to experience the Lower Zambezi. During a walk, guests can learn about animal tracks, plants, birds, and the smaller details of the bush.

As a result, walking provides a more intimate connection with the wilderness.

Best Time to Visit Musesenji River Camp
