DISCOVER
Dinaka
Dinaka is located on the northern edge of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve in the Hainaveld region. This region offers an authentic African bush experience featuring cultural tourism experiences with the Bushmen and remarkable desert landscapes inhabited by a wide range of desert-adapted wildlife, including gemsbok, springbok, giraffes and ostriches.
Accommodation consists of 7 twin and double-bedded safari tents with spacious en-suite bathrooms. Each room has both a large walk-in and an outdoor shower with a view. Dinaka also has 1 family tent accommodating up to 5 people in a two-bedroom tent with shared en-suite facilities, making it ideal for families travelling together. The safari tents are spacious and raised on wooden decks overlooking the permanent waterhole. The sleep-out deck provides guests with an opportunity to spend the night under the stars.
The main area comprises a dining room and bar where meals are usually served, and a campfire overlooking a permanent waterhole. During siesta time, guests can sit and relax in the lounge or sitting area, decorated and furnished with comfortable sofas and cushions, or go to the swimming pool area for a refreshing dip. Dinaka provides a wheelchair-friendly environment as all areas are connected by wooden walkways.

ACTIVITIES
Activities at Dinaka include day and night game drives conducted by professional guides in specially designed vehicles that guarantee each guest a window seat and individual camera mount for optimal game viewing and photography. Guests can expect to see a variety of Kalahari wildlife, from giraffes, gemsbok and springbok to small mammals like the honey badger, bat-eared fox and porcupine, along with predators such as the Kalahari lion, cheetah and leopard.
Birding is another highlight, with over 200 bird species recorded in the area, including the Kori bustard and pale chanting goshawk. Guided bush walks led by San Bushman guides offer fascinating insight into traditional bush skills, tracking, and the cultural heritage of the region. The underground photographic hides offer an extraordinary and immersive way to photograph wildlife at water level, making for memorable and unique safari moments.
