Linyanti Bush Camp

Tucked along the edge of the Linyanti Marsh in northern Botswana, Linyanti Bush Camp sits within a private reserve that borders the remote western boundary of Chobe National Park. This unique position, deep within the Chobe Enclave, offers guests access to a pristine landscape teeming with wildlife. As the only water source for many miles, the Linyanti Marsh draws a diverse mix of species—from desert-adapted antelope to river-dependent birds and mammals—creating exceptional game-viewing opportunities year-round.

Linyanti Bush Camp is an intimate and authentic tented retreat designed for travelers seeking both comfort and adventure. The camp accommodates just 12 guests in spacious East African–style Meru tents, each carefully positioned to face the marsh. Inside, guests will find en suite bathrooms with flush toilets and hot-water showers, comfortable beds, and classic safari furnishings that echo the camp’s understated, nature-focused ethos. One tent is configured as a double with a king-size bed, while the remaining five are twins.

The central guest area is elevated to take full advantage of the views and features a cozy lounge, well-stocked bar, and relaxed dining space under canvas. A small swimming pool offers a refreshing break in the heat of the day, surrounded by the sounds of birds and the expansive views of the Linyanti wilderness. For groups of up to 20 guests, Linyanti Bush Camp can be combined with nearby Linyanti Ebony Camp, available upon special request for those traveling together.

Whether you’re listening to hippos call from your tent or watching elephants gather at the water’s edge, Linyanti Bush Camp offers an atmosphere of quiet immersion in one of Botswana’s wildest corners.

ACTIVITIES

Linyanti Bush Camp offers one of the most varied activity programs in northern Botswana, with both land and water experiences available throughout the year. Game drives—by day and night—are conducted in open safari vehicles and led by knowledgeable professional guides. These outings explore the floodplains, woodlands, and grasslands that surround the marsh, which are home to elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, wild dog, sable, roan, and countless bird species.

Walking safaris are also a highlight at Linyanti, allowing guests to discover the smaller details of the bush with the guidance of expert trackers. For a different pace, mokoro (dugout canoe) excursions along the quieter channels of the marsh offer intimate encounters with aquatic life, birds, and the plant species that thrive in this seasonal wetland environment.

One of the camp’s most exciting offerings is a 30-minute scenic helicopter flight, available between April and November for guests staying three nights or more. This aerial perspective reveals the scale and beauty of the Linyanti ecosystem, with the chance to spot wildlife from above and photograph some of Botswana’s most remote and breathtaking landscapes.
