MATUSADONA NATIONAL PARK
Matusadona National Park lies along the southern shores of Lake Kariba and is considered one of Africa’s premier destinations for tracking rhinos on foot. This diverse wilderness area offers exceptional predator sightings, including lions, leopards, hyenas, and cheetahs. Visitors can also expect to encounter a wide range of plains game such as impala, warthog, kudu, waterbuck, as well as hippos and crocodiles along the lake’s edge.
The park is home to an impressive array of birdlife, with over 350 species recorded, making it a rewarding destination for bird enthusiasts. Guests staying at camps and lodges within private concessions can enjoy night drives, offering rare opportunities to spot nocturnal species not often seen during daylight hours. Fishing in Lake Kariba is also a highlight, with excellent opportunities throughout the year. Matusadona National Park is accessible by road, boat, and air.

With just seven elevated thatched chalets and an open-air bathroom, the rustic camp offers authentic game drives, walking safaris, boat cruises, fishing, and a relaxed boma for dining under the stars.
