ACTIVITIES

The most popular activity at Evolve Back Gham Dhao Lodge is viewing the game, bird life and surrounding areas on game drives led by experienced and knowledgeable guides. A highlight of this area would be sightings of lions; they are extremely vocal and seen regularly, and there are several territorial leopards and cheetahs that also move through the conservancy. Antelope species, especially herds of gemsbok, blue wildebeest and eland are seen, and kudu are also plentiful. In addition, over 250 positively identified migrating and residential bird species are found on the reserve.

Evening sundowners are served with the sun setting over the Kalahari. Quad biking is a novel way to explore the landscape and view the game and bird life adjacent to the lodge. Another feature is the Bushmen who live there and who will share how they go about their daily lives with guests. They will show guests how to search for roots and plants, make a fire, and entertain guests with a rain dance. Lastly, day trips to the CKGR are offered – enjoy a Kalahari picnic and experience great game viewing on the open plains.
