Camp Okavango is situated northern of the Okavango Delta and offers guests a year-round water wilderness experience in arguably the finest wilderness wetland in the world, renowned as a haven for rare species such as the elusive Sitatunga antelope and the Pel’s fishing owl. The luxury and style of Camp Okavango blend effortlessly into this wilderness and is the ideal base from which to discover the beauty of this wetland ecosystem. Camp Okavango is a water-based camp offering motorboat excursions, mokoro trails, wilderness bush walks, fishing and birding, all conducted by experienced professional guides who will expertly navigate guests through the many meandering, reed-lined waterways. There is nothing comparable to guided bush walks for getting a little closer to nature. Conducted on a number of the nearby islands, these offer an opportunity to track some of the larger land-based species that inhabit this water wilderness. Birding enthusiasts have numerous birding opportunities, and anglers can put their skills against bream and tigerfish on a catch-and-release basis.
Day 4-6
Today after morning activity, time permitting guests will check out of Camp Okavango for a flight transfer to Xakanaxa Airstrip from where they will be met and will be transferred by road to Camp Moremi where they will stay for 3 nights on fully inclusive basis.
