Thamo Telele
Thamo Telele, formerly known as Royal Tree Lodge, is a small intimate lodge situated on a private game farm about 15 minutes from the centre of Maun. Thamo Telele is an ideal stopover for guests that require a night in Maun at the beginning or end of a safari.
Accommodation at Thamo Telele includes 9 spacious luxury safari-style tents and 2 thatched chalets surrounded by a forest of leadwood and acacia trees. Each tent has en suite bathrooms with a private outdoor shower and is raised on wooden decks with hardwood floors and a small veranda in the front. Tents have solid wooden doors and large gauze windows with canvas flaps which can be rolled down at night. The chalets are thatched with a large circular bath and a unique outside shower looking out onto the forest.

ACTIVITIES
Thamo Telele is located on the Motsentsela Reserve, a small game farm home to species such as ostrich, zebra, kudu, black springbok, blesbok, jackal, and more. A bird list of over 120 species has been recorded. Walking trails from 30 minutes to 1½ hours allow for safe self-guided or guided exploration. Guests can enjoy the lodge’s signature giraffe experience, offering intimate encounters with these gentle giants. Additional activities such as horse riding and scenic flights can also be arranged from the lodge.
