ACTIVITIES

Khwai is one of the most consistent areas in the Okavango Delta region for year-round excellent wildlife encounters, including sightings of zebras, antelopes, lions, leopards, cheetahs and more. Game drives and guided walking safaris are offered throughout the year, providing diverse perspectives of the Delta’s wildlife and landscapes.

In the dry winter season, from June to October, the Okavango Delta floods and the waterways become full and flowing—perfect for water-based safaris by mokoro and boat. These peaceful excursions allow for unique wildlife viewing opportunities and a serene experience of the Delta’s aquatic ecosystems. During the summer months, birding is superb, with the return of migrant species making the area a paradise for birdwatchers.
