BOTSWANA
A vast and sparsely populated country bordered by South Africa, Zambia, and Namibia, Botswana’s landscape is a striking study in contrasts. From the red desert dunes of the Kalahari, home to the Bushmen, to the lush green waterways of the Okavango Delta, the country offers an ever-changing panorama of savannahs, deserts, wetlands, and salt pans. The scenery transforms with the seasons, ensuring that every safari in Botswana is a truly unique experience.
Botswana is home to an impressive diversity of wildlife, including elephants, kudu, giraffes, cheetahs, ostriches, leopards, wild dogs, lions, and various antelope species. Decades ago, tourism was recognised as the most sustainable way to create employment opportunities for its people while safeguarding its fragile ecosystems. Today, Botswana enjoys a stellar reputation for environmental tourism, with a strong commitment to conservation and a focus on delivering high-quality, authentic wildlife encounters.

Chobe and Linyanti
Chobe and Linyanti in northern Botswana are renowned for exceptional game viewing and dramatic landscapes. Chobe National Park boasts Africa’s largest elephant herds and abundant wildlife along the Chobe River. The remote Linyanti region offers exclusive, predator-rich safaris, floodplains, and waterways, with activities including game drives, boat cruises, birding, and seasonal mokoro excursions.

Gaborone
Gaborone, Botswana’s capital, is a modern city surrounded by scenic hills and wildlife reserves. Known for its friendly atmosphere, it offers shopping malls, cultural sites, craft markets, and vibrant dining. Nearby attractions include Gaborone Game Reserve and Kgale Hill. As a transport hub, it’s an ideal starting or ending point for exploring Botswana’s wilderness.

Kalahari
The Kalahari, spanning much of Botswana, is a vast semi-arid wilderness of golden grasslands, ancient riverbeds, and star-filled skies. Home to unique wildlife adapted to desert life, including meerkats, springbok, and black-maned lions, it offers remote safaris, cultural encounters with San Bushmen, and seasonal transformations when rains bring wildflowers and grazing herds.

Makgadikgadi
The Makgadikgadi Pans, once an ancient lake, are now one of the world’s largest salt flats, stretching endlessly under vast skies in Botswana’s northeast. In the dry season, they offer surreal, moonlike landscapes; in the wet season, they transform into wetlands attracting flamingos, migrating zebra, and wildebeest, creating spectacular wildlife and photographic opportunities.

Maun
Maun, Botswana’s vibrant safari gateway, sits on the edge of the Okavango Delta and blends a laid-back frontier feel with modern amenities. As the hub for flights and road transfers to surrounding reserves, it offers lively markets, craft shops, cultural encounters, and a range of accommodations, making it the perfect launch point for your safari adventure.

Moremi Game Reserve
Moremi Game Reserve, in the heart of Botswana’s Okavango Delta, combines floodplains, lagoons, and woodlands in one of Africa’s richest ecosystems. Known for exceptional wildlife, it hosts elephants, big cats, wild dogs, and abundant birdlife. Game drives, mokoro excursions, and boat trips offer unforgettable encounters in this pristine, community-protected wilderness.

Okavango Delta
The Okavango Delta, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a vast inland oasis where winding waterways, lagoons, and islands sustain incredible biodiversity. Seasonal floods transform the landscape into a wildlife paradise, home to elephants, hippos, big cats, and rare birds. Mokoro trips, boat safaris, and game drives reveal its beauty and wilderness charm.
