Shinde Footsteps Okavango Delta is an exclusive safari retreat in the Four Rivers region of the Shinde private concession in northern Botswana. Overlooking a tranquil lagoon and surrounded by rich floodplains, the camp offers a balance of privacy, comfort, and immersive safari experiences. As a result, it is ideal for travellers seeking a classic Delta safari in a more intimate setting.
The camp accommodates a maximum of six guests in four spacious canvas tents, including a family unit with two bedrooms. Each tent features en suite facilities and reflects the charm of a traditional safari style. In addition, the tents are slightly elevated, providing peaceful views over the surrounding wilderness and easy access to the main area.
Meanwhile, the central guest area includes an open-plan lounge and dining space with views over the lagoon. Guests can enjoy early morning coffee or relaxed sundowners in this setting. A dedicated photography editing suite, complete with desks and charging points, caters to those wanting to review their images. In the evenings, guests gather around the firepit beneath the stars, creating a relaxed and social atmosphere.

ACTIVITIES
Shinde Footsteps offers a variety of activities that change with the seasons while remaining true to the Delta experience. Guests can enjoy mokoro excursions and boat cruises through papyrus-lined channels. As a result, these water-based activities provide close-up sightings of aquatic wildlife and birdlife.
In addition, fishing is available on a catch-and-release basis when water levels allow. Meanwhile, morning and afternoon game drives explore the surrounding habitats, where guests may encounter lion, leopard, hyena, and African wild dog, along with giraffe, zebra, kudu, and other plains game.
Night drives add another dimension, offering the chance to spot elusive nocturnal species. However, the highlight of a stay at Shinde Footsteps is the guided walking safari. Led by experienced guides, these walks allow guests to track animals, interpret spoor, and understand the ecosystem in greater detail.
