Itinerary

Upon your arrival at Maun Inernational Airport, guests will be met and welcomed to Maun and be assisted with a connection onto a light aircraft charter flight,/a> to Leroo La Tau where they will start their safari for the first two nights.

Leroo La-Tau is over looking the Boteti River valley, on the Western Boundary of Makgadikgadi Pans National Park. Due to the long dry spells the Boteti experiences, after the rainy season this area explodes with life as wildlife congregate around precious water holes. The spectacular zebra and wildebeest migration especially takes one’s breath away. As there are no manmade boundaries separating the lodge from the National Park, game viewing is rewarding. The spectacular annual zebra and wildebeest migration occurs in this region. At this time, whilst exploring the lodge surrounds, guests will witness the interaction of an extraordinary number of animals including zebra, wildebeest, antelope and elephant, along with the predators that follow them. The bird life is prolific in this area too. One of the most amazing experiences, mostly in the peak season, is sitting on the deck of your room overlooking the Boteti River Valley and having herds of Zebra coming to drink.

Early this morning after the activity and light breakfast, time permitting, guests check out of Leroo La Tau and be transferred to the Airstrip where the will connect to another light charter flight to Xugana Island Lodge where they will stay for 2 nights.

Xugana Island Lodge is located on a private concession overlooking the beautiful Xugana Lagoon in the permanent Okavango Delta. Mokoro trips in dugout canoes, combined with guided walking safari, to surrounding lagoons and islands in the concession give guests the chance to experience a classic Okavango Delta safari. Motorboat excursions through the reeded waterways are also enjoyed here. Xugana,/a> is a true water land paradise as it’s location on an island in the Okavango Delta, is spectcular. Bird-watching opportunities are outstanding, and fishing for bream and tiger fish is also offered as an activity at the lodge.

Today after the morning activity (depending on time) and light breakfast guests will check out Xugana Island Lodge for a short boat transfer to the Airstrip to connect on to a schedule charter flight to Kasane Airport where they will be welcomed and transferred by road to the magnificent Chobe Game Lodge for 2 magical nights on a fully inclusive basis.

Built along the banks of the Chobe River and the only permanent game lodge situated within the Chobe National Park along the Chobe River, Chobe Game Lodge is a perfect base to explore the Chobe National Park. Activities offered include game drives, game viewing by pontoon boat, sunrise and sunset river cruises,/a>, Victoria Falls Falls day tours as well as stargazing.
