Dinaka is located on the northern edge of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve in the Hainaveld region. This region offers an authentic African bush experience featuring cultural tourism experience with the bushmen and remarkable desert landscapes inhabited by a wide range of desert-adapted wildlife, including gemsbok, springbok, giraffes and ostriches.

Accommodation consists of 7 twin and double-bedded safari tents with spacious en-suite bathroom, each room has both a large walk in and outdoor shower with a view. Dinaka has 1 family tent accommodating up to 5 people in a two bed-roomed tent with a shared ensuite facilities making it also suitable for families travelling together. The safari tents are spacious an raised up on wooden decks overlooking the permanent water hole. The sleep out deck provide guests with an opportunity to spend the night under the sky.

The main area comprises of a dining room and bar where meals are usually served and campfire overlooking a permanent water hole. During a siesta time, guests can sit and relax on the lounge or sitting area well decorated and furnished with comfortable sofas and cushions or by going to the swimming pool area for some dip and relaxation. Dinaka provides a wheelchair friendly environment as all areas are connected by wooden walkway.

Activities

Activities at Dinaka include day and night game drives conducted by a professional guide in specially designed safari vehicles allowing unhindered game viewing and photography. When out on game drives window seat guarantee ensures no more than four guests per vehicle and individual use of a camera mount. Birding activities with Dinaka hosting over 200 different bird species including the Kori bustard and pale chanting Goshawks. Guided walks conducted by San Bushman guides learning about their ancient culture and historical way of life. Year-round spectacular photographic opportunities from the underground photographic hides at Dinaka is a highlight. Activities at Dinaka seeks to explore the Kalahari as the wildlife ranges from giraffe to the antelope, small mammals like the honey badger, bat eared fox and porcupine to predators such as the Kalahari lion, cheetah and leopard.
