Kasane – Nxai Pan approximately 500km, 6h

Rising with the sun, the route takes you 500 kilometres south to Nxai Pan National Park where sweet grasses host a variety of wildlife. The guests will stop en-route for a picnic lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the park before getting to the campsite.

The next day, guests will explore Nxai Pan and enjoy the plains which are often dotted with grazing herds of impala and springbok. In the afternoon guests will visit the magnificent Baines Baobabs. These regal trees, immortalised by the explorer Baines’ painting, are situated on the edge of an expansive saltpan. Camping will be at a private designated campsite with bush ablutions. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included.

Nxai Pan – Maun approximately 180km, 3-4hrs

On day 4 after enjoying a morning game drive, guests will leave Nxai Pan and continue their safari to Maun, the gateway to the Okavango Delta. Guests will have time to visit the local shops and have a relaxing afternoon. In the afternoon, guests will have the option of taking a scenic flight over the Delta (45 min. Maun to Maun scenic flight, available on offer at an extra cost). This magical experience provides another perspective of the Okavango Delta’s distinctive water system. During the flight it is even possible to spot large game animals such as Elephant, Giraffe and Hippopotami. Guests will camp overnight at a site with permanent ablution facilities. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included.

Maun – Okavango Delta approximately 60km, 2h

The adventure will take the guests to the southern tip of the Okavango Delta, a special corner of paradise. Once they have reached the edge of the Delta, they will meet their polers from the local community with their Mekoros (traditional dugout canoes). Quietly cruising along reed lined channels and floodplains, they will enjoy the spectacular landscape of this unique region during the tranquil transfer taking them deeper inside the Delta. They will spend 2 days exploring this beautiful area with Mokoro excursions and guided nature walks on the islands and floodplains of the Okavango, camping wild with bush ablutions on a small island for 2 nights.

Okavango Delta – community campsite outside Moremi approximately 50km, 2h

On day 7, the guests will start making their way towards the drier regions of the delta and camp in a concession outside the Moremi Game Reserve. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included.

NOTE: on day 5, the guests will leave their main luggage in the trailer and will need to pack a smaller bag (small backpack, hand luggage) with what they will need for the 2 days on the island. Transfers from the mainland to the island where they will stay are done on traditional dugout canoes (Mekoros) which cannot accommodate large bags. The main luggage will safely remain in the vehicle that will be parked in a secured area while they are on the island.

Community campsite outside Moremi – Western Moremi approximately 80km, 3-4h (transfer and game drive)

Itinerary inclusive of 2 nights in Western Moremi and 1 night in Eastern Moremi

Early morning of Day 8, the guests will enter Moremi Game Reserve, one of the best wilderness areas of Botswana which covers swamp and dry areas. The next 3 days will be spent searching for the wide variety of wildlife and birds that this area is renowned for while absorbing the sounds and beauty of this region. Game drives in the early morning as the sun rises and in the late afternoon as the sun sets will be the norm. After the morning game drives, they will return to camp for lunch and a siesta.

Western Moremi – Eastern Moremi

On Day 10, they will move campsites to explore a different area of this diverse park. Camping will be in private designated campsites with bush ablutions. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included.

Eastern Moremi – Savuti approximately 120km, 8h (transfer and game drive)

On day 11, camping will be in private designated areas with bush ablutions, first in the Savute area. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Savute - Chobe River: 170km, 5-6h (transfer and game drive)

On day 12 and 13, camping will be in the northern part of the park closer to the riverfront. Chobe National Park with its diverse and striking landscapes will be the next destination. As guests continue their search for wildlife, they will traverse the drier region of Savute where bull elephants dot the plains. They will then head northwards to the Chobe River where their game drives will meander along the banks of the river followed by the call of the majestic African Fish Eagle. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Chobe River – Livingstone approximately 100km, 2-3h (cross border transfer)

After a morning game drive, guests will cross the Zambezi River by ferry and then drive to Livingstone on the Zambian side of the Victoria Falls (Visa required), where they will spend 1 night at a comfortable lodge. In the afternoon there will be time to visit the thunderous Victoria Falls and shop for curios. Lunch and dinner will be at the guests’ own expense at the lodge. We are happy to arrange post-tour accommodation, activities and transfers to Livingstone airport or lodges, Victoria Falls airport or lodges or Kasane, Botswana, at an additional cost. Activities in Livingstone include White Water Rafting down the Zambezi Gorge, Canoeing on the upper Zambezi, Elephant rides and Helicopter Flights over the Victoria Falls. The safari officially ends at 10h00 on Day 15.
