Namib-Naukluft National Park

Namib-Naukluft National Park, is noted to be the largest park in Namibia. It covers an area of 49 768 km² and consists of desert savannah grasslands, plains, lagoons and wetlands. Also found here is the Kuiseb River, which runs through the centre of the park from east to west and acts as a natural border dividing the northern plains from the southern deserts., Game sightings in this region include zebras, gemsbok, springbok and flocks of ostriches. Bird watching is excellent from September through to March. The area is accessible by road.
