Drive from Hoanib to Skeleton Coast

This morning after breakfast, guests will have an early departure from Hoanib Valley Camp as they make their way to Shipwreck lodge for a 2 night stay on fully inclusive basis.

Shipwreck lodge is situated in the Skeleton Coast, southern bank of the Huarusib River Mouth approximately 45km north of Mowe Bay. The area contains irreplaceable and vulnerable wildlife habitat for species of the highest conservation importance, including elephant and the elusive brown hyena. It also hosts the only other viable lion population in Namibia outside of Etosha National Park. Staying at Shipwreck Lodge provides guests with a chance to fully explore the Skeleton Coast by doing day excursions to the Mowe Bay seal colony, with stops at the Suiderkus and Karimona shipwrecks, Westies Diamond Mine and the remains of the Ventura Bomber and sundowners drives to the roaring dunes. Morning quad biking sand boarding across the dunes as well as 4×4 drives along the Hoarusib River, including the Clay Castles and the chance to spot some of the unique, desert-adapted wildlife.

Fly from Skeleton Coast to Windhoek

After breakfast, this morning guests will check out of Shipwreck Lodge and be transferred to Mowe Bay well on time for their connection flight to Windhoek from where they will connect onto an international flight for onward travel.
