- Serondela area (or Chobe riverfront) in the northeast has lush plains and dense forests which attract huge numbers of elephants and buffalo. The Serondela area is the most visited part of
Chobe National Park due to its location near Victoria Falls.
- Savuti Marsh is in the west of the park. The Savuti Channel bisects the Chobe National Park and empties into the
Savuti Marsh, an area well known for its coverage in several popular wildlife documentaries, especially the National Geographic films by Dereck and Beverly Joubert. Savuti has rich grasslands, savannah woodland and a large variety of trees and vegetation.
- Linyanti Swamps are on the western section of Chobe. The
Linyanti River and marshes are complemented by the contrasting dry woodlands. The Linyanti Wildlife Reserve is renowned for predators and large concentrations of wildlife, particularly elephants and buffalo, which move down to the Linyanti River at the start of winter.
- The Nogatsaa and Tchinga a hot and dry hinterland this area is for the
adventurous traveller. The region holds water well into the dry season, attracting a profusion of game between August and October. This area is particularly good for viewing eland.

Savute Elephant Camp
Savute Elephant Camp is located along the banks of the dry Savute Channel. This area is characterized by sweeping expanses of savannah grasses and rocky outcrops. In stark comparison to the other Orient Express properties in Botswana that celebrate the water environment of the Okavango, Savute is an arid area where water is precious. Savute Elephant Camp offers a spectacular bird’s eye view of elephant drinking from the water hole just metres away from the main building. Savute is particularly well-known for its elephants and predators.

Duma Tau Camp
The name Duma Tau means “roar of the lion” in Setswana, and there are great opportunities for seeing lion at Duma Tau, as well as massive elephant concentrations and outstanding wildlife in general As Duma Tau is situated close to the source of the Savute Channel on one of the many lagoons within the Linyanti Swamp system, game drives along the Savute are a highlight of a stay at Duma Tau.
King's Pool Camp
The luxurious Kings Pool Camp overlooks the Linyanti River and the oxbow-shaped Kings Pool Lagoon. Named after a Scandinavian monarch who camped on the banks of the lagoon, Kings Pool Camp is most famous for its large elephant population, but is also home to a great variety of other game. Regular sightings at Kings Pool include sable, waterbuck, buffalo, lion, leopard and wild dog.
Lebala means ‘wide open spaces’ in Setswana and the camp has spectacular views over expansive plains and wetlands that make up the Kwando-Linyanti floodplain system. The wetlands and flood plains around Lebala offer a diverse variety of wildlife with excellent sightings of elephant, hippo, lechwe, zebra, giraffe, impala, wildebeest, kudu, tsessebe, roan, sable, buffalo and the ever watchful predators; wild dog, lion, cheetah and hyena.
Kwando Lagoon is situated in the remote far north of Botswana on the 2,320 square kilometer Kwando concession. Lagoon lies amongst tall and ancient African Ebony and Marula trees on the banks of a permanent lagoon formed by the meandering Kwando River Kwando is a wild reserve and attracts superb big game, especially during Botswana's dry season. Kwando Lagoon is one of the best areas to see the predators including lions, leopards, cheetahs and wild dogs.
Linyanti Bush Camp
Linyanti Bush Camp is situated on the banks of Linyanti Marsh in a private reserve which borders the western boundary of Chobe in the Chobe Enclave. The marshes are the only water source for miles around and attract water-adapted and desert-adapted wildlife, plus large numbers of birdlife. The marshes also offer the ability to undertake a diversity of activities.
Savuti Camp was completely rebuilt in 2007, and has been redesigned to place more emphasis on the spectacular Savute Channel. Savuti Camp is situated about 17 kilometres 'downstream' from the Zibadianja Lagoon - the source of the Channel. In the dry season the waterhole in front of camp is the only source of water over a large area and therefore offers excellent wildlife viewing.
Selinda Camp is built on a shady island overlooking the waters of the Selinda Spillway - a waterway that links Botswana's Okavango Delta to the Linyanti and Kwando marshes, rivers and floodplains. A small, luxury tented safari camp, Selinda offers a peaceful and private experience far from the crowds - but with unrestrictive and exhilarating wildlife viewing.
