Kanana
Southwestern Okavango Delta
Kanana (Setswana for paradise) is centrally located on a private concession in the Okavango Delta. This area is home to a diversity of species, including many migratory bird species.
The 8 spacious, twin-bedded safari meru tents, including 1 family tent, accommodating up to 16 guests, are set on raised teak decks and offer breathtaking views across the waterways. All tents have en suite bathrooms and are well-spaced to afford privacy but are still within a comfortable distance from the central areas.
Remote and beautiful, Kanana offers a great variety of land and water activities in the spectacular Okavango Delta. Depending on the annual floods, guests may be lucky enough to enjoy the visible spectacle of the water rising around the camp in the early months of the year. The shared facilities of Kanana are on stilts overlooking the Delta floodplains. The dining and lounge areas are on raised decking built around a massive, ancient fig tree and the camp has a well-stocked bar for those evening sundowners and a swimming pool.
