Fish River Canyon Park
Canyon Village is built around quiver trees in the Fish River Canyon area and offers 42 rooms. The chalets provide homely touches and warmth to the lodge, making it an ideal place to explore Fish River Canyon.
The central area includes a restaurant, bar and lounge where guests can relax on comfortable couches. Alternatively, guests can partake in some light exercise with a swim or stretch their legs on any of the numerous walks through the rocky hills.
Activities
Activities at Canyon Village include morning and afternoon drives toward Fish River Canyon. Sunset nature drives, nature walks and sunrise hikes within the Canyon Park allow guests to see different plants and animals, including zebra, wildebeest, springbok and gemsbok. Guests wanting to self-drive within Canyon Park are welcome and are provided with a trail map to embark on this exciting adventure. A hiking trail takes you from Canyon Village to a mountain plateau, where guests will enjoy breathtaking views of the vast plains adjacent to the canyon. A short excursion to the nearby mountain for a sundowner is a must to wrap up the day.
